The vulva – the clitoris and vagina

Take a second: draw (or imagine drawing) a vagina. Not the outside of your body but what it may look like inside.

Our guess is that some of you might have drawn a cave (a docking station ready for receiving the next digit, penis, or toy?) Others of you may have drawn what looks like a little straw or balloon—waiting to expand when the moment is right. And others might have drawn something in between.

First of all—a vagina is not a “docking station” for a penis[1] – or for someone else altogether. It’s yours and only you can unlock any potential it may have to make you feel good.

With so much variety in all women—short vaginas and long, wider set and narrow—there is no “ideal” vagina (even though pornography or the media may give you that impression.)

Similarly, clitorises and the vulva area (what’s outside the vagina) are just as diverse! The truth is—vaginas, clitorises, and vulvas are dynamic. As your body changes position, they change. If you are aroused, they change. If you are turned off, they change.
