Some people with DSD variations and without think about their gender and question the way they feel on the inside. They might decide that the gender they’ve been raised in fits, or that another one fits them better. Also, they might decide that their gender is somewhere between male and female, like ‘gender neutral’ ‘agender’ or ‘queer.’ If you are thinking about this, know that you are not alone.
We suggest talking with someone you trust, like a good friend, psychologist, social worker, or perhaps a parent. Find people to support you, get to know you, and help you find out more about what you really want.
Finding someone you can talk to about this takes time, and you may not find the right person immediately. Reach out to a couple people, get their advice, and get all the information you need to do what fits you.
